“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.” – Carl Jung
Work is an important part of my life – a source of energy, satisfaction and self-esteem. I enjoy working on projects and with people where there is a clear purpose and a drive to achieve something difficult, lasting and maybe just a little bit amazing. When there is something significant at stake, I take pride in being that someone who makes a crucial difference to ensure us every chance of success.
Over a rich and varied work history I have earned a reputation for clarity in thought, communication and action, delivered at all times with a commitment to proactive service and support.
I am resourceful, multi-skilled and a quick study, with a special talent for building and maintaining strong relationships based in trust and a commitment to shared values. I am excited by working at the intersection of technology, education and society and am at my best when working with a clear (if knotty) problem to solve, a great deal of autonomy and the support and resources necessary to succeed.
During the last 15 years I've been fortunate enough to work alongside some remarkable people doing incredible things – these experiences become part of me as I take them onward, as I hope my contribution becomes in some small way a part of the places and people I encounter.
Project Manager – Research Platforms Migration Project
RESEARCH POLICY AND REPORTING OFFICER
BOND UNIVERSITY / GOLD COAST
2015 – Present
I am leading the end-to-end project to review and replace the university's research technology platforms, anchored by the implementation of a new research information management system, Pure. During 2015 and early 2016 I led an initial scoping study with engagement from Bond's research community and IT Services.
In early 2016 I managed the implementation and pilot of a new form/workflow engine for business process management, WorkflowGen. Later in 2016 I began leading the implementation of Pure with a small project team and while also taking a decidedly hands-on role. The system was soft-launched in early 2017 and after initial pilot phase will be rolled out throughout the university during the first half of 2017.
I am the sysadmin for Pure and WorkflowGen and Bond's technical contact for ORCID and the legacy Research Master system.
In my day job as policy and reporting officer I am also responsible for analysing research data and producing various reports on research activity and performance for external and internal stakeholders, including supporting national assessment exercises such as HERDC and ERA.

RMIT UNIVERSITY / MELBOURNE
2012 – 2014
As a sessional tutor in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies, I taught undergraduate students in social science courses including public policy, political and social theory, comparative ethics and research methods. I assessed student work using academic judgment and as a senior tutor assisted in some cases with design and preparation of curriculum and assessment.
I was engaged as a research assistant on various projects including an ARC-funded public sector human rights audit; a study on third sector engagement with evidence-based policy; and a longitudinal study on case management skills in the human services sector. I conducted mixed-methods (primarily qualitative) data collection and analysis, including interviews and focus groups.

During the end-of-year semester break while at RMIT, I was engaged on a short-term policy and research assignment at the LTA during the early stages of the TravelSmart initiative to help ease congestion on Singapore's public transport network. I assisted with data collection and analysis, report writing and communication with stakeholders including the transport minister.
